'In #Mexiko sind die bekannten LGBT-Aktivisten Jesús Laiza González und Isaí López Rodríguez ermordet worden. Als sie am 29. Juni nach der Teilnahme am Pride-Marsch in Mexiko-Stadt nach Tizayuca im Bundesstaat Hidalgo zurückkehrten, feuerten Unbekannte gezielt mehrere Schüsse auf sie ab.
Jesús Laiza engagierte sich im Vorstand der linken Partei der Arbeit (PT) und war Diversity-Beauftragter der kürzlich gegründeten Lokalpartei Espacio Hidalgo. Auch sein Lebensgefährte Isaí López setzte sich aktiv für die Gleichstellung und die Rechte von LGBT-Menschen ein.
Nur Stunden vor ihrem Tod hatte Jesús Laiza auf dem Pride-Marsch in der Hauptstadt von Morddrohungen berichtet. Alaín Pinzón, der Direktor der Nichtregierungsorganisation VIHveLibre, schrieb auf der Online-Plattform X: "Ich traf Jesús am Samstag auf dem Marsch hier in Mexiko-Stadt. Er stellte mich seinem Partner vor und erzählte mir, dass er aufgrund seiner Aktivitäten für den Marsch in seiner Stadt bedroht wurde, dass sie beobachtet wurden und bereits physisch sowie digital bedroht wurden." ....'
