I just bought his latest audiobooks and I really appreciate, that you can buy and download them directly from his homepage and not from Amazon/Audible. Incidently, I discovered, that the Podcast client oft my choice (Antennapod) can easily also play local files. Instead, I’ll get a dose of #CoryDoctorow @pluralistic and come away smiling and a lot more relaxed. Still, the #AIBubble troubles me somewhat because of the inevitable economic fallout when (not if) it bursts.

Lesetipp: Cory Doctorow ( @pluralistic ) erklärt, warum die eigentliche Gefahr der „KI“ nicht in einer allmächtigen Maschine liegt, sondern darin, dass Menschen zu ihren Hilfsorganen gemacht werden: Sie erledigen die mühsame Arbeit, überwachen die Fehler und tragen am Ende die Verantwortung.
Eine kluge, scharfe und sehr unterhaltsame Kritik am KI-Hype. Sorgfältig von Menschen, hauptsächlich @reticuleena und @hopfgeist, übersetzt und leicht gekürzt, denn eine KI wäre Doctorows Stil und Argumenten nicht gerecht geworden.
