I'm trying to switch #PeerTube instances for the first time. I originally tried to export an archive with videos, but I kept failing to download the 4GB file. I then downloaded an archive without videos and successfully used to to set up my new account. Even though I couldn't find it in the documentation, you can point a PeerTube synchronization at another PeerTube instance, so it doesn't have to be #YouTube or another old provider. When I did this, I got 15 of 22 videos available on my new account instantly. The other 7 are stuck saying "To Import". I have tried various things, like deleting and restarting the synchronization, to no avail. I'm starting to think I just need to recreate these 7 videos from scratch.

Ich hatte letztens Kontakt mit einem Menschen der mein Hörspiel gerne hört und gespannt auf die zweite Staffel ist. Er fragte mich, ob ich ihn auf dem laufenden halten kann, wenn was neues kommt, weil er kein #Youtube nutzt.
Und dann habe ich angefangen nachzudenken. Ich verstehe warum man Youtube vermeiden möchte, einmal die Nähe zu Google, zum anderen der Algorithmus und das zuschmeißen mit inhaltslosen, auf schnellen Hype ausgelegten Content.
Dann habe ich über mich als "Creator" nachgedacht. Ich mache dieses Hörspiel und auch wirklich gerne mit Video (wird in Zukunft auch einen neuen Grafikstil geben), aber auch ich finde bei Youtube quasi nicht statt. Es ist kein #Video mit schnellen Schnitten und knalligem Thumbnail. Keine reißerische Überschrift. Es ist eher slow #storytelling mehr Details und subtile Entwicklungen, kleine Teile für das Gesamte Puzzle und es dauert halt bis man alle Teile hat. So wie Filme früher waren, so wie Bücher früher geschrieben wurden.
Leider habe ich für mich noch keine richtige alternative Plattform gefunden die dazu passt. Ja, es gibt #peertube , aber da brauch ich wieder einen eigenen Server usw.
Vielleicht kann die Schwarmintelligenz mal wieder helfen. Was kennt ihr denn für Plattformen wo weniger algorithmisch gearbeitet wird und man nicht gewinnt wenn man das knalligste, aufreißerischste und bunteste Bildchen hat um gepuscht zu werden.
Kennt ihr sowas? Habt ihr Vorschläge?

Bald zählt YouTube jeden Videostart sofort als Aufruf. Die Zahlen unter den Videos werden dadurch wohl größer – die Einnahmen der Creator nicht.
