  • Miami sheds its spring-break stereotype, emerging as a polished playground of art, design and high-end dining, where neon-soaked streets, refined beach clubs and global gastronomy define a new luxury era.
  • This 48-hour guide traces Day One from an Ocean Drive stroll and barefoot lunch at Nikki Beach to Mid-Beach sunset, sultry dinner at Pauline and late-night revelry at LIV.
  • Day Two pivots inland for breakfast at The Shelborne, Brickell shopping, an immersive Sexy Fish lunch, Wynwood murals, restorative Grotto Baths, Italian feasting at Sparrow and vinyl nightcaps at Dante’s HIFI+.

I recently returned from a weekend trip to Miami and I was taken aback by how much the city has evolved. The last time I visited Miami was for Spring Break more than 10 years ago, and it seemed like a completely different city. Always a city of wealth and glamour, the Miami I saw on this trip showed how the city has also emerged as a global center of art, design, and high-octane gastronomy.
