You can use Mastodon through your server's website, or through apps, but did you know there is also a third option?

"Web apps" let you get the best of both worlds, with all the unrestricted features of the website but also notifications and a full-screen interface.

Some of you might have experienced difficulties to open Movim as a Progressive Web App on your Android device 🤖

There is a know issue on Chrome related to that issues.chromium.org/issues/466… , lets hope its being fixed soon 😬

A workaround has been pushed to master, please clear your application cache to deploy it ☺️

Eine Frage.

Ich habe #GrapheneOS mit #Vandium Browser. Nutze bei #Friendica und #Pixelfed jeweils die Webapp. Bei Pixelfed als #PWA installiert.

Lade ich in Friendica ein Bild hoch, krieg ich zuerst diesen Dialog

Und dann wähle ich "Dateien" und kriege diesen Dialog

Kann also in meinen Dateien und auch in anderen Apps nach Bildern stöbern.

In Pixelfed geht hingegen sofort dieser Dialog auf

Ich kann also nicht in meinen Dateien und Ordnern geziehlt stöbern...
Woran liegt das?
Storage-Scopes können es ja nicht sein, da ja beides Vanadium ist, nur unterschiedliche Websites.

Liegt das am Aufruf des Filepickers in der Webanwendung?
Was müsste ich bei Pixelfed als Featurerequest einwerfen?

Die PWA scheint nicht auf allen Mobilbrowsern zu funktionieren, Opera lässt den Zugriff wohl nicht zu. Gibt es einen Workaround?
